Mornington Wineries That You Can't Miss - Check Out Our Favourite Picks!

Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is quickly becoming one of the most popular wine country destinations to visit - and for good reason! This place has picturesque hills in the hinterland, alongside a stunning coastline. It makes the perfect weekend getaway at any time of year.

Mornington is most well known for its cool-climate wines, particularly chardonnay and pinot noir. With over 200 wineries to visit, this wine region on the rise is the perfect getaway for all wine lovers!

Here are some of the best wineries to visit while you’re there;

JACKALOPE;

This winery offers incredible architecture, luxury accommodation, and a gorgeous vineyard to experience. Jackalope produces pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc amongst their Willow Creek Vineyard. If you’re after relaxation to pair with your wine, Jackalope also has a lavish day spa, infinity pool and incredible restaurants on offer to try!

MONTALTO;

Montalto is situated on an expansive property that has many enjoyable experiences to offer, including wood-fired pizza, sculpture displays and fine-dining restaurants. There are ten secluded spots throughout the property that are home to the venue's private ‘picnic experience’. Here you can reserve two to eight people to experience stunning set tables, a local produce based menu.  Montalto’s three wine labels are sourced across five different vineyards spanning across the Mornington Peninsula, which create exceptional cool-climate wines - particularly their pinot noir and chardonnay wines.

MAIN RIDGE ESTATE:

Family owned and operated since 1975, this relatively small winery produces wines with the grapes grown onsite alone. This means that the wines created express the unique seasonal qualities and character of the property and the vineyard. You can pair their incredible wines with lunch at their restaurant which is nestled within the stunning bush valley area.
